COGNIZANT Interview Experience - Noida, Feb 8, 2016
I got interview call letter from COGNIZANT through amcat and it was on 8th
feb 2016. We have to give only technical and HR interview.
Technical:
Sir: Tell me about yourself.
Told.
Sir: What are you doing from past 6 months?
I told I'm preparing for GATE.
Sir: So why you want this job if you are going for GATE?
I explained.
Sir: What is your favorite subject?
Me: Data Structure and Automata Theory. He didn't knew about automata so I
explained the subject.
Sir: Any other subject?
Me: DBMS.
Sir: Define normalization and its type.
I explained till 4NF.
Sir: Draw the table for a departmental store, how may tables are required
and how will you join them?
I explained. Though one point was wrong, he explained that to me.
Sir: On which language you made you project?
Me: JAVA and SQL.
He asked me basics of JAVA.
Sir: Explain your project and what was your part in the project?
Sir: Which member of your group done the best part in your project?
Sir: What you have in you different from others so that I should select you?
Sir: What is the surety that if I select you then you will not go for any
other company?
I explained all and got selected for the next round.
My HR interviewer was a lady.
Me: Can I sit mam?
Mam: Yes please, so tell me something about yourself?
I told.
She asked me why I did my schooling and graduation from different places?
I told.
Mam: Tell me about your family.
What are you doing from past 6 months?
What brings you here in Delhi?
As you have visited to many cities, is there any problem to move to Chennai?
Do you want to ask anything from me?
And I give all the answers with full confidence and finally got selected and
now waiting for my joining.
