ISAT or International Student Admission Test
What is ISAT?
The International Student Admission Test or ISAT is written and developed by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) as a measure of international candidates general cross-curricula reasoning abilities.
As of 2013, ISAT will also be used as a selection test for the inaugural ACER International Students Scholarship (AISS).
The scholarship valued at AUD$ 50000 will be awarded to one international student who is applying to study a Business degree at an Australian University, beginning 2014.
Where is ISAT recognised?
ISAT is required as part of the admission requirement for international students for following Australian Universities:

Why should I give ISAT?
The purpose of ISAT is not so much to test your knowledge of specific academic subjects, as to assess your ability to understand and analyse material you will be given. The ISAT is a 3 hour computer based multiple choices test. There are 100 questions with 4 or 5 answers from which the candidate is asked to choose the most appropriate response.
What skills does ISAT test?
ISAT would test your critical and quantitative reasoning. Critical reasoning or CR involves comprehending and analyzing information; understanding, applying and extending ideas; drawing appropriate conclusions and evaluating arguments. These questions use material from the humanities and social sciences.
Quantitative reasoning or QR involves analysis and application of information; drawing conclusions and making decisions and solving problems. These questions use material from the mathematics and sciences.
How can I register for ISAT?
You can register online if you are planning to study in above mentioned Australian Universities.
How many times can I appear for ISAT?
You can only appear for ISAT once a year.
