Hi friends,
Our college is one among the VIT consortium Registered colleges.
Wipro off campus was on 20th October.
First round was Group Discussion 15 Members was divided as a group and our
topic was TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF, As I was not at all interested to attend
the recruitment because the no.of. Students they were (Previous companies)
recruitment was too low, so I didn't even prepare anything I just went there
hopelessly without any preparation So I was not able to do TELL ME ABOUT
YOURSELF in an effective manner I thought that was the end and I was
preparing to leave the room as soon as the last person completed his turn,
but to everyone's surprise the HR said "Today our topic is INDIAN ECONOMY".
Everyone of the group was astonished and our expression was like this :o.
So I just thought this might be chance given to me by god and started to
compete with my team members like anything I took every small chance and
expressed my views 5 times within the time. HR told us to wait outside for
the result. As said we were waiting outside and selected candidates were
called out. 6 out of 15 were shortlisted for Written test I am one among the
6 students.
And Written test was just in 10 mins as said I didn't even go through the
basics. I attended written test with zero expectations.
It was an online test and consisted 3 sections QUANTATIVE ABILITY (25 ques),
LOGICAL ABILITY (25), ENGLISH (20).
So I just attempted what I know and remaining questions I left it to my
heart and answered them :D.
Quant - Logarithms, Surds, Probability, Permutations and combinations,
Simple interest, Time and distance, Profit and loss.
Logical - Series, Blood relations and some basic questions this section was
pretty easy but due to time insufficiency I didn't answer 2 questions.
English - 2 Comprehension Passages, Antonyms, Synonms, Sentence correction.
Result was sent at night 9'0 clock and Among 1900 students 95 were
Shortlisted from GD and Written. To my surprise my name was in the list I
was shocked. They told us to report us by 8.30 am next morning. I was happy
for some time but started to get tensed as I was not in a situation to
answer TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF also.
I Prepared everything the next morning from 3'o clock then started off to
college.
There was a Pre Placement Talk by HR and they also told us to write an essay
on DEMOCRACY IN INDIA after finishing it, our details should be filled up in
a form given by them. Very similar to resume.
1st round was technical and I was the last but one person to be interviewed.
Int : Hi Anudeep , How was it waiting outside for so long time ?
Me : Superb Madam.
Int : Superb? How could it be superb ?
Me : Yes madam, This was a memorable experience for me Waiting for an
interview and I am experiencing it for the first time.
Int : How was your Aptitude test yesterday ?
Me : It was difficult when compared with 2 previous tests conducted by CTS
and Accenture.
Int : Then how could you crack it ?
Me : I don't know madam :p Actually when my friends were getting selected
for other companies I took it as a challenge and I came back very strong
madam.
Int : Okay , Tell me about yourself meanwhile I will go through the essay
you have written?
Me : Telling (Interrupted).
Int : You have participated in Paper presentations and won prizes so can you
explain about your presentations?
Me : Started explaining and had a good talk on it.
Int : Okay can you explain me on the other presentation?
Me : Explained.
Int : As you are From Electrical why are you coming to IT ?
Me : Though I have opted for Electrical as my specialization in bachelors I
was very interested in CSE and now I have got an opportunity so I want to
grab it and Enter IT sector.
Int : You have done 10 short films and AD's . So I think you will enter film
industry ?
Me : Haha no madam that's just my hobby which gives me so much relaxation.
Int : Okay. Your area of interest is Transmission of electric power .
Explain about it ?
Me : Explained 3 stages of power systems.
Int : Do You play piano?
Me : Yes madam , I do I have learned it .
Int : Your academics in B.Tech are some what low what happened ?
me : Explained.
Int : Okay Anudeep I have done with my questions do you have anything to
ask?
Me: Yes madam . I heard that IT industry is now somewhat low but how is it
possible to WIPRO for recruiting thousands of freshers every year ?
She explained it for 2 mins.
Me : Mam, can I ask you another question ?
Int : Yes, sure.
Me : In what areas do I have to improve ?
Int : Told.
Thank you madam.
I was done with my technical interview and I was lucky she didn't ask me any
C language questions, they told us to wait in a room and came up results
after 5 mins they called out names and said to leave. And told us to come
for HR interview.
I was on cloud 9 at that moment for getting shortlisted to HR . Nearly 40
People were eliminated from Technical. I thought I could easily get through
HR interview.
He was just taking a minute or two for interviewing each student this added
more confidence to my dreams :p.
In HR also I was the last but one person to be interviewed:
Hr : Come Anudeep , Take your seat?
Me : Thank you sir.
Hr : Is this your first your interview?
Me : Yes sir.
Hr : Okay tell me about yourself?
me : Told(Interrupted).
Hr : Why are your academics low ?
Me : Explained.
Hr : What is your Eamcet rank ?
Me : Told.
Hr: Thank you Anudeep , Have great day.
Me : Thank you sir.
So that was the end of my interview and I started back to my home. On the
way back result came to my mail. I Was not selected :( I was soo sad. It
was not my day :(.
