What is PTE?
PTE or Pearson Test of English is one of the tests which measure the English proficiency of a student looking forward to study abroad.
The test is conducted by Pearson PLC group as a computer based examination focusing on real life English used in academic surroundings. Students can apply to any college which accepts PTE scores for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and MBA programmes.
PTE is accepted by various institutes in UK, US, Australia, Spain, France, China and many other countries.
How to register for PTE
Anyone can appear for the 3 hours PTE or Pearson Test of English examination from anywhere around the world after registering online. Indian students can appear for the test at:

The fee for the PTE examination is Rs 9, 350. If a student registers within 48 hours of the test date then he/she has to pay a late booking fee and the test price will be Rs 11, 687.50.
PTE Scoring Pattern
The result will be mailed to each candidate individually. The PTE scores include overall score, communicative skills scores and enabling skills scores.
The Overall Score reflects the overall English language ability of a candidate. The range of score is 10-90 points.
Scores for Communicative skills (Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing) range from 10-90 points for each skill.
Scores for Enabling skills (Grammar, Oral Fluency, Pronunciation, Spelling, Vocabulary and Written Discourse) range from 10-90 points for each skill.
How does PTE score helps?
A student can apply to colleges accepting PTE for undergraduate, Postgraduate and MBA studies. Usually, the minimum scores one needs to apply to a college abroad are:
51-61 for undergraduate programmes
57-67 for postgraduate programmes
59-69 for MBA programmes
